Age: Like most nations, original birthdate is suspect, but England was around when the Romans invaded in AD 43, making him somewhere in his 3000s as of this current millenium. He looks like a young man in his early twenties, and official data gives his age at 23.

Gender/Sex: Male

Appearance: England is a young Caucasian male with messy dirty blonde hair that he keeps short, massive bushy eyebrows and green eyes. He is 175 cm (5' 9") tall, and built slim and wiry.

History: Keep this section as brief as possible. This section is particularly relevant for characters that fall under any category but "canon," and characters with unclear histories that involve player judgement. Book versus Film differences also go here. Characters that fall under a CR-AU should also include their game history. (100 word minimum, 200 words ideal, 500 words hard max.)

Personality:
England is acerbic, brusque and somewhat arrogant. He fancies himself a gentleman and strives to be polite, especially to ladies, but he's a punk and a pirate at heart. He loves a good fight and can give as good as he gets, but he hates to look so rude in front of the ladies. He's a romantic who feels deeply but is too greatly invested in the British Stiff Upper Lip to ever give voice to such things except when he's deep in his cups, and he'll deny it the next day. He is quite caring in nature but isn't sure how to express these feelings and comes across as very tsundere, telling people that he's not helping them because he cares or anything! He has a dry sense of humor and gets very attached to people but is cynical enough to try not to because everyone leaves. He says he loves isolation but really he enjoys contact. He can appear more than a little crazy as he believes in magic and has magical abilities as well as "imaginary" friends that he talks to. He greatly enjoys the supernatural and loves a good story - the bloodier, the better. He is creative and enjoys making things, and likes to look back on the "good old days". He is vehemently, viciously, devoted to cricket and football (that's soccer to you heathens) and strongly prizes the ideal of being a "good sport". He is also very stubborn and strong willed - very much a fan of Churchill's Keep Buggering On philosophy

Abilities:
(1) Functional immortality - As a nation, England cannot die (although he can reach a state very LIKE death) until there are no more people who identify as British. He does not obviously age, as his age is related to the "maturity" of his country.
(2) Rapid healing - Any wounds he takes will heal very quickly, up to and including ones that would normally be fatal - the more serious the wound, the longer it takes. Also, wounds to the country take longer to heal than wounds to his actual physical body - So if you shoot him in the heart, he'll be on his feet by tomorrow. Bomb London, and expect him in agony for weeks. He also cannot get sick from normal human illnesses - a cold means his economy has taken a downturn, rather than him having a virus.
(3) Metaphysical connection to the nation and the people - England is the nation, and so can tell the state of his country simply by paying attention - the health of the economy, the mood of the people, and so on. Thus, anything that affects the nation will affect him also, and he can tell things about his citizens if he is in close contact with them. He also, obviously, knows every part of English history, since ... it basically happened to him.
(4) Sailor - Yes, England was a pirate, sorry, privateer. He can sail - both old fashioned sailing ships and more modern things, and he loves the ocean, but he cannot swim.
(5) Fighter - England is proficient in small arms (handguns), swords, longbows, and has been shown with a rifle at times. He also throws a mean right hook and contrary to his gentleman persona is a brawler. He is stronger than a human of his build, as his strength is directly related to how strong his country is (so, weaker than America, stronger than Greece, as an example)
(6) Magic - England has been shown with a magic wand, as well as drawing successful magic circles (admittedly, he got Russia when he was trying to summon a demon but that's... not that far off). He has faery friends and can see and speak to the supernatural, both English and otherwise. He can also apparently transform into Britannia Angel, which grants him wings and presumably more powers, including the ability to turn another nation into a baby. FOR THE PURPOSE OF THE GAME: England's magic will be limited to the ability to see and speak to the supernatural ie things most people cannot, and the ability to always have a cup (or pot, if he has company) of hot tea around. I would also like for him to have one of his magic friends around, namely Flying Mint Bunny. Britannia Angel will be nerfed entirely, and he will still have his knowledge of curses but any attempts to do so will be null and void.
(7) Cooking - England's cooking is most kindly described as charcoal and more accurately described as a lethal weapon.
(8) Language - England obviously speaks fluent English, with the default accent being Queen's English. He can do every English accent (but not Irish, Scottish or Welsh), and he can speak Ye Aulde Anglish too (Mercian, Northumbrian, Kentish and West Saxon). He also has a spattering of the old celtic languages (Welsh and Scottish, mainly). He can speak German (he was ruled by the Normans, after all) and French (but he hates it because France) fluently, and can has tiny bits of Dutch (trading partner/rival), Portugese (best trading partner), Hindi (favoured friend) and Cantonese (hello Hong Kong). He will refuse to speak anything other than English unless you force him, however.
(9) Nations also seem to have a weird rapid travel thing where their nations are their "houses" and so to cross from one nation to another one simply goes through the neighbor's backyard... it is never truly explained so I am happy to nerf it entirely.

Inventory:
(1) Because he's an old-fashioned type of guy, England carries a Webley IV although British armed forces currently use Glocks. He has one full cartridge and a spare cartridge
(2) MAGIC ALWAYS HOT TEAPOT
(3) Flying Mint Bunny
